BARRETT CALLUM LOND!
| HARD WORKING | QUIET | SERIOUS |
Name: Barrett Callum Lond
Age: 29
Birthdate: 09.20.83
Gender: Male
Speicies: werewolf---
Family Members:
father: Darryl, deceased, was in construction and owned his own farm
mother: Roselin, 56, homemaker
[/ul]
Height: six foot flat
Weight: 210
Build:] Barrett in the picture of a hard worked body - wide at the shoulders and chest, a narrow waist, and long sturdy legs. Everything about him has been built to make him stronger, and faster. He is absolutely no stranger to hard work and it shows in in his hands. There are to many tattoos to describe in detail on Barrett. He has two full sleeves, on both arms they go from his shoulder to his wrists, and his legs are no exception. There is a lengthy verse on his right side, and is currently getting getting work done on his back to tie the eclectic array of art work together.
Hair Color:when he allows it to grow out, Barrett's hair is a dark sandy blond, lightening with the summer months and darkening with cooler weather, but normally he keeps it buzzed short
Eye Color:normally narrowed, Barrett's light blue eyes are usually always small with serious intent
Play- By:David Beckham[/ul]
Personality:Despite his size Barrett isn't at all very tough, when he doesn't have to be. He is a pacifist, in the loosest sense of the word though he doesn't believe in blood shed, and tends generally avoid a conflict when he can - it doesn't mean he hasn't been in fights, or will not fight. To any stranger he is easily perceived as the loner type, but in reality it's only because he's generally quiet, and rather reserved. Because of his rather shy tendencies it makes him appear antisocial. To the few that do know him will tell you quickly that he is the agreeable sort, that he likes to make jokes and is good-natured, but most of all remains soft soft spoken. While he's always had a problem showing public displays of affection - toward anyone - in private he has wanted nothing more then that intimate setting.
No matter where, Barrett can be your go to guy if you need something repaired, made or replaced. Hell, he isn't above even changing a light bulb if you need him to. What he strives for the most is to be useful to whoever and where he can - with his fathers work ethic, he believes in a honest living for whatever pay it may bring (if any at all) at a back breaking cost. Barrett has just one want in life and that is to work and be good at what ever he is doing. If it means he sacrifices other things - like a personal life - then so be it.

History:
There is no particularly hard tale to tell about Barrett's life. He was an only child, and because of it didn't have to worry about sharing his toys - so it was his father that he'd looked up to mostly. The old man had at times bluntly impressed upon him life lessons, but had never actually been someone of a whole lot of words. His belief was that a man's actions were worth more then his words, and it was something Barrett adopted personally for himself. His family owned land, which they more or less farmed - from livestock, to crops -he grew somewhat of a country boy so he never really did take to being in the city, unless he had to.
Even though they lived more or less away from what most would consider civilization Barrett did attend school - all the way to a college level. It wasn't academics that he excelled in (though his grades remained at above average), but sports - football, baseball, track and field...he even played tennis for a little while. So it was of a little surprise when he didn't follow in his fathers footsteps, carrying on the long standing tradition of the Lond line - because everything Barrett was today was in some way shaped or influenced by his father; he had been by far the most import figure in his life, before passing away. Even now, he couldn't go a day without thinking about something his father would have certainly said about this or that, having always dropped little pearls of wisdom in his ear to remember from time to time. As concerned with making his father happy as he was, the two of them were nothing alike, not really.
First there was Barrett attraction in men - while he didn't think his father had known, he knew his mother did. For another - he seemed to lack a certain amount of tenacity. He never did - and still doesn't...share a group mentality, and find some rules a little hard to swallow. This turn in thoughts bring up Trent and the six years they had spent together, which was entirely more complicated then he should have ever let it get. At eighteen he'd meet the wondering human, trespassing on his parents property -trying to find shade from the summer heat. Before he knew it, his mother was letting him stay and work to earn his food and board. Of course, the woman was much to kind for her own good, maybe a little hard but never had a problem with showing affection freely.
Nonetheless, that first meeting had been a silent stand off between to two - Barrett standing in the entrance of the barn, his shirt hanging from his back pocket-having been working all afternoon, and Trent just standing there, pack in hand, somewhat stooped over as if he was in the middle of making himself comfortable but staring, unabashed. It had been that damn grin in obvious appreciation that had brought a small smirk to his own lips and a raised eyebrow. When Barrett finally asked if he knew he was private property, he would never forget that cocky response and the way he straightened, slipping his free hand into his pocket, his head tilting back a little, I'm pretty sure I can die happy if you decide to kick my ass.
Something about his tone then had been positively clear he didn't think he was going to be dieing, not by Barrett's hands, anyways. It didn't take but a few weeks for clear attraction between the two to finally accumulate and peek before something was done about it. But there was something so wrong about the two of them to have worked, even though it had felt so right, it had been why they had tried for so long. If anyone had ever found out, however...
It was only when Trent up and left one day that he understood that they just would never work, and work well together, and for two years now Barrett has no one of interest on his scope. He couldn't leave town or his mother behind though - as the good son he was, he is constantly going over to check on her to fix this or that. Or work here or there on repairs or chores she may need. He lives comfortably, day to day in a bubble that he's built back over the last few years, not really seeing outside of it, and just getting by day to day.[/ul]
